The Labyrinth

Our Labyrinth Pattern & Colors

A journey through the seven chakra colors is essentially a journey through the rainbow.

Each of your seven chakras has a corresponding color that follows the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet (or white).

The 7 paths of the labyrinth correspond with the 7 chakras.

This allows one to focus on each chakra while traveling through the path of its representative color.

Chakra Colors

Red is the color of the root chakra; it symbolizes safety, survival, grounding, nourishment from the Earth energy. Note that in chakra healing practices, red may denote inflammation at the physical level.

Orange is the color of the sacral chakra; it carries meanings associated with emotions, creativity, sexuality, and is associated with water, flow.

Yellow is the color of the solar plexus chakra; it symbolizes mental activities, intellect, personal power, will.

Green is the color of the heart chakra; it is connected with love, relating, integration, compassion.

Blue is the color of the throat chakra; it symbolizes self expression, expression of truth, creative expression, communication, perfect form and patterns.

Indigo blue is the color of the third eye chakra; it evokes intuition, extrasensory perception, inner wisdom.

Our Labyrinth

Labyrinths are truly a Sacred Place

What is a Labyrinth

The labyrinth is a spiral path, circular in form, used as a walking meditation or spiritual practice. A labyrinth's walkway is arranged in such a way that the participant moves back and forth across the circular form through a series of curves, ending at the labyrinth’s heart or center.

What is the purpose of the labyrinth?

The Labyrinth represents a metaphor for the journey to the very center of our deepest self, and then back out into the world with greater understanding of who you are. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation and prayer tools. A labyrinth may be a valuable tool in human balance and healing.

How do you use a Labyrinth?

Walking the Labyrinth is an infinitely repeatable activity; each walk however, will be unique and distinctly different. No two walks are ever the same, yet the pattern and the process are always constant. Unlike a maze, the Labyrinth is a one path design, there are no wrong turns or decisions to be made. Much like the surrender to walking a sacred spiritual path in life, your only decision is to take the first step, but also clears the mind, calms the soul, mends the heart, and heals the body.

The Labyrinth is a gift to be shared

A journey to the center of your very being. As you begin your walk toward center you are invited to release - release old patterns, painful emotional memories, worries, unhappy behaviors or just the everyday mind chatter. Arriving at the center you are invited to experience your own essence - a space of mindfulness. At the center of the Labyrinth know that you are in harmony with the great mystery. Leaving the center takes you back into your life empowered with new insights, gifts, and a sense of wholeness.
